Inauguration "World of Joining Together"

The “World of Joining Together” passes its first big test with flying colors.

The “World of Joining Together” opened its doors for its first big event on the 4th and 5th of November 2008. There were 80 invited guests who took part in the 4th Professional Congress. We are happy to report that all went well and the premiere was a success!

The Böllhoff group will organize a Professional Congress of Family-Owned Companies every two years. This is an important platform for customer contact and innovation. Handlers, manufacturers and research and development scholars will have the opportunity to present the latest developments in the field of joining technology. This Congress also gives us the possibility to make new contacts and to take care of existing ones. Information exchange is also a goal of this symposium.

The 4th Professional Congress in the new “World of Joining Together” was titled, “High-Performance Materials for Light Weight Construction: A Challenge to Joining Technology!” Due to the very public discussion of CO₂ emissions and the environmental compatibility of automobiles, airplanes and other moveable entities, the topic is absolutely current. The inclusion and need of these high-performance materials in joining elements poses a special challenge to our industry. The cost of effectiveness/profitability of modern light weight structures are the focus of many development engineers. The Professional Congress would like to offer important impulses and practical idea.
