Böllhoff Group secures major order from Audi
Bielefeld. Böllhoff, a specialist in joining and screwdriving technology, has secured a major order from automotive manufacturer AUDI AG of a total volume of approx. 4 million euros.
Böllhoff delivers more than 80 process-monitored self-pierce riveting systems which come into operation at the Audi plant in Neckarsulm in 2009. The customer-specific solution comprises the delivery of assembly machines as well as of RIVSET® type self-pierce rivets.
With the most recent order, Böllhoff emphasizes its competence in self-pierce riveting technology and consolidates the close cooperation with the automotive industry. Today, the family business cooperates with all European and American manufacturers and achieves around 40 percent of the Group's turnover of almost 420 million euros in business with the automotive industry and their suppliers.
